Competition Law in 2021 – adapting to the post-Brexit regime Webinar
VIEW LIVE from 1-2pm on Tuesday 13 April
Contemporary UK competition law has been developed based on the foundations and the rationale of EU competition law.
The post-Brexit domestic competition regime is undergoing a significant, unprecedented transformation. The various aspects of the transformation concern substantive, procedural, institutional, enforcement, jurisdictional and many other elements and dimensions.
The purpose of the webinar is:
to summarise and review the key features of the post-Brexit competition regime;
to offer an analysis of and to suggest remedies to the main dilemmas and challenges emerging after leaving the EU; and
to highlight the main perspectives and opportunities which the new reality and status offer to the UK.
The post-Brexit competition regime will preserve all of its distinctive features, but the scale of the reforms needed to be done in a very short period of time against the background of the pandemic raises a number of strategic problems, which will also be discussed.
The webinar will conclude with a discussion and Q&A session.
