The Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Act 2004 is still with us, as is anti-social behaviour, with all the challenges that it presents for landlord and tenant.
However, with the advent of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 and the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 the housing landscape is changing with the new legislation impacting on both the private and public rented sector. This course will enable participants to
define anti-social behaviour in terms of the Act and related legislation
recognise the changes for public sector landlords managing Short Scottish Secure tenancies
discuss the role of the First Tier Tribunal as introduced by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014
recognise the differences in responding to anti-social behaviour in the private sector that the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 introduces
