In February Wilmington plc, the parent company of CLT, announced a strategic review of both CLT England and CLT Scotland. Unfortunately, despite interest from several potential buyers, no-one has been willing to commit to acquiring the business in England.

Wilmington plc has, therefore, reluctantly taken the decision to close CLT in England only at the end of August; discussions are ongoing with a potential buyer for CLT Scotland.

Any training courses booked through CLT England and due to take place before 31 August will continue as normal. However, all events that were due to run after 1 September both on our public programme and onsite will be cancelled and no longer run.

We will be refunding memberships and unused training packages and crediting training booked for events due to run after 31 August 2020. We will be in touch with affected customers shortly to confirm the amount due and refunds will be paid as soon as possible.

Our paralegal qualifications are not affected by this decision and will continue to run as usual in both England and Scotland. Our sister company CLT International is also unaffected.

It has been a pleasure to work with the legal community over the past 30 years and we would like to wish our members and all who have trained with us every success for the future.
