Here's what our clients have to say about CLT Paralegal Training...
Paralegals are integral to our business. If you ask law firms in five years time whether they have increased their number of paralegals, you will almost certainly find that they have done so.
Rob Aberdein - Partner at Aberdein Considine
What prospective employers like is a good mix of practice experience and formal legal training; no-one provides formal legal training better than CLT
James O'Connell - Head of Policy at Institute of Paralegals
Becoming a qualified licensing paralegal was very much a springboard for my career. The Qualification enabled me to secure a position within a specialist firm of solicitors in the first instance. I am now a qualified solicitor specialising in the field.
Stephen John McGowan - Director of Licensing at TLT - Licensing Law Graduate
I deal with a variety of cases and in particular specialise in Debt Recovery and Housing Law cases. I handle my own caseload under the supervision of the Litigation Partner and deal with all aspects of each case like taking instructions, preparing court documentation and attending Court for first hearings in summary cause and small claims actions. In defended actions I support the solicitors on the team by assisting them with the preparations required for proof hearings. I was recently promoted and look to forward to the challenges and added responsibilities that my new role will bring.
Gillian McGoldrick - Commercial Disputes & Regulation at Shepherd and Wedderburn - Debt Recovery & Family Law Graduate
The staff who have undertaken the course are all part of specialist recoveries team. They investigate accounts to assess suitability for claims, initiate the claims process and deal with any correspondence from customers or the courts. They will then attend court where necessary. The team deal with accounts from pre-claim through to enforement. The collections manager, team manager and eight members of the team have now completed the course. The majority of the team were new to the litigation process so this training has been invaluable to build their knowledge of court procedures and process. This was completed in their own time and they could work and complete the course to suit their lifestyles and with no impact to the business.
Sarah Crofts - Training Manager - DWR Cymru
I won the category of Legal Executive/Paralegal of the Year at the 2015 Jordans Family Law Awards. Not bad for someone who only completed the CLT qualification in 2012! I hope this encourages others who are considering taking a Specialist Paralegal Qualification with CLT to do so, knowing that they will receive the highest possible training, and that it can lead to great success!
