Cybercrime is a fast-growing and widespread crime, with cybercriminals targeting law firms for the money and information they hold. The large amounts of money changing hands in conveyancing transactions makes them an obvious target, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) reported in 2017 that around half of all law firm cybercrime involved conveyancing.
This 30-minute e-learning course is designed to raise awareness of key cybercrime threats in relation to conveyancing transactions and to outline practical steps that lawyers and their staff can take to stay safe and secure online. It includes the latest guidance from the Law Society and the SRA.
The course covers:
Types of cybercrime
Spotting potential threats
Steps you can take to protect yourself and your firm
Mitigating the risks of working outside the office
The course includes interactive activities and short animations, designed to illustrate key points and make these more memorable. When you have worked through the course materials, you will have the opportunity to take a short quiz to check your recall and understanding.
Price is for a single user licence and discounts are available for multi-user licences. Please contact Wendy Harbottle on 07970 546 524 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a free course preview.
