Ms Alison Green is a barrister and joint head of the Insurance and Reinsurance Group of 2 Temple Gardens. She has advised on directors and officers liability policies and has redrafted them. Alison is a member of the panel of arbitrators of AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society and a trained mediator. She is editorial adviser to Insurance Contract Law (by Professor Merkin). She contributed a chapter on insurance terms for Informa’s Introduction to Insurance Law (published 2007). She is recommended as a barrister for insurance in Chambers.
Mr Gerard Forlin is a barrister at 2-3 Gray’s Inn Square and is widely accepted as a leading expert in the field of regulatory crime. He is recommended in Chambers and the Legal 500 in three sections. He is the general editor of Corporate Liability: Work Related Deaths and Criminal Prosecutions.
Mr Michael Appleby is recommended in Chambers for Health and Safety. He acted for the managing director in the leading English appellate case upon directors’ health and safety duties (R v P Ltd and G, Times 13th August 2007). Dr Simon Joyston-Bechal is a partner with Pinsent Masons and heads the firm’s nationally recognised health & safety practice. Being a qualified doctor as well as a solicitor, he is uniquely placed to advise on health related matters. His work focuses on health & safety and product liability law.
Mr Charles Parry is a member of 3 Pump Court. He regularly prosecutes and defends health and safety cases, and appellate work and represented Nelson Group Services establishing the corporate defence of reasonable practicability distinct from the employee. Encountered asbestos, electricity, gas, falls, and lifting; currently prosecuting BT [fatality]; prosecutes for the explosives directorate.
Mr Peter McKay formerly Deputy Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire and West Yorkshire County Councils, has thirty five years’ experience in local government, and is now a consultant with Eversheds LLP. He is currently advising a number of police, fire and local authorities on governance matters.
