Speakers

Mr Simon Ennals has over 25 years’ experience of acting for clients at all levels in the social security and community care fields, including test cases at Court of Appeal level. He has lectured widely in this field for many years, and is also the author of Tolley’s Social Security and State Benefits, Tottel’s Welfare Law and other works in this field. He also sits as a part time chair of Appeal Tribunals.

Mr David Coldrick is partner with Wrigleys solicitors. He acts for many private individuals, trustees and organizations requiring estate planning and related specialist services including Lloyds of London. His main published works are Coldrick on Personal Injury Trusts (Ark 2005) Protecting the Assets of Older People (2nd Eedition Ark 2002), and Coldrick on Care Home Fees (2004 Ark). He is national editor of Elderly Client Adviser, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Through Life Care Group and a member of the Panel of Eexternal Receivers of the Court of Protection. He heads the ‘Compensation Protection Service’ from Wrigleys’ Sheffield office which offers specialist assistance on all aspects of personal injury trusts. He has, amongst other publications, been a contributor to Trusts and Estates Law Journal (Legalease), Personal Injury Law Journal (Legalease), Tax Adviser (Chartered Institute of Taxation), Taxation (LexisNnexis), Butterworths Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents and Financial Adviser. He lectures widely.

Mrs Lynne Bradey is a solicitor with Wrigleys. She trained at a primarily personal injury based firm which gave her a good grounding in the pre- and post-settlement issues she encounters. Lynne now deals with personal injury trust matters for both capable and incapable clients, as well as Court of Protection Deputyships and other types of applications. Lynne is on the board of and a regular contributor to Elderly Client Adviser magazine and has co-written the second and third editions of Coldrick on Personal Injury Trusts (Ark 2005 and 2007). Lynne has also contributed material to Butterworths Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents and Coldrick on Care Home Fees (2004 Ark), as well as editing sections of both. Lynne is also a regular contributor to professional journals.

Mr Lewis Howes is director and co-founder of Fensham Howes Ltd which specialises in providing fee-based investment advice and strategic financial planning solutions to individuals and families and to the trustees of private trusts. Lew is a career financial professional with many years of board level experience in global companies. He is the co-author of Coldrick on Modern Trustee Investment: Law, Theory and Practice.
