Persuasive advocacy may be the product of learning and experience. The purpose of this course is to give practical advice and assistance on aspects of advocacy in criminal proceedings from preparation to presentation.
Cover will be given to each of the skills listed:
- The Application for Bail
- The Opening Speech
- Examination in Chief
- Cross - Examination
- Re-Examination
- Expert Evidence
- The Closing Speech
- The Plea in Mitigation
Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in the exercises which will allow them to develop their competence as advocates in the criminal courts.
