The course is aimed at those who have a working knowledge of transfer pricing, and who want to develop their knowledge further to understand how their transfer pricing can become more tax effective. A prior knowledge of the principles outline in the Fundamentals of Transfer Pricing is assumed.

As a result of attending, participants should be able to consider more complex transfer pricing issues and understand value chain transformation and the risks associated with such projects.

Specifically, the course will cover the following:

  • Review OECD framework
  • Developing a transfer pricing policy
  • Transfer pricing planning
  • Making business change more tax effective
  • Limited risk entities
  • Exit charges in the context of business change/restructuring
  • Effective dispute resolution techniques
  • The current HMRC approach to enquiries
