The course is aimed at giving a basic understanding of transfer pricing. As a result of attending, participants should be able to assess the risks associated with their transfer pricing and be able to document relatively straightforward transfer pricing within groups of companies.

Specifically the course will cover the following:

  • Application of the guidelines to hard goods
  • Application of the guidelines to services
  • Transfer pricing of intangibles
  • Importance of functional analysis
  • What does transfer pricing documentation look like
  • The current risk based approach to enquiries by HMRC

David Lowe is one of the 8 experts who drafted Incoterms 2010, and he therefore brings a unique insight into the new incoterms. A partner at the London office of international law firm Wragge & Co LLP, David Lowe leads the firm’s commercial contracts team. David’s experience of advising buyers and sellers of manufactured goods (typically transported by containers) has shaped his contribution to Incoterms 2010. David also chairs the UK ICC Commercial law and Practice Committee.
