Need to brush up on your examination technique before taking the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) Re-accreditation Senior Caseworker assessments? Then this is the course for you.
The Legal Services Commission requires that all those who were accredited between 2004 and June 2007 must now go through re-accreditation process of the Law Society’s IAAS before the new civil contract starts in October 2010. To benefit from this course delegates must be experienced Senior Caseworkers and have a detailed working knowledge of immigration, nationality, EEA and asylum law – this course does not teach substantive law or updates, but deals with exam technique for the assessments. The course covers:
• Explaining the re-accreditation tests and standards
• Refreshing examination technique
• Group study of sample questions
• Feedback from the course tutor
• Self-marked mock tests
• Questions and Answers
Please bring your copy of Phelan as you will be disadvantaged without it when dealing with sample questions. Please read the Law Society’s standards for Senior Caseworkers before attending the course. These can be found on the Law Society’s website www.lawsociety.org.uk
