Course Overview

Be ready to take the Critical Incident Test by looking at the areas on which you are likely to be assessed and listen to and discuss example scenarios, prepare for the test and become fully equipped with the skills needed to advise at the police station.

  • Understanding the assessment process – what you need to know
  • Substantive criminal law
  • Police powers outside the police station
  • The treatment of persons in custody
  • The evidential significance of things said or done
  • The criminal process.
  • After the course, test yourself and see if you are prepared to take the test by submitting the practice test to CLT for marking. You will receive detailed individual feedback on your performance which will help you target revision areas.
