Police Station Accreditation - The Written Exam Preparation Day (including Mock Test)

Be fully prepared to take the examination and to advise suspects at the police station. Familiarise yourself with the style, design and question types of the examination paper.

Morning Session

• Understanding the assessment process
• Substantive criminal law
• Police powers outside the police station
• The treatment of persons in custody
• The evidential significance of things said or done
• The criminal process

Sit a mock test in examination conditions, (2 1/2 hours). Our assessors will provide you with feedback identifying your strengths and weaknesses prior to the real examination.

Gayle Shalom 
is an experienced Criminal Defence lawyer and a Solicitor- Advocate with Messrs Jones Knowles Warburton Solicitors in Stockport and a Duty Solicitor on the Stockport rota. Gayle is also a member of CLT's PSR and CLAS Assessment Board, as an assessor.

David Watts 
is a Higher Rights advocacate practising with ZMS Solicitors in Leicester. He was formerly a solicitor with the CPS, an associate partner and duty solicitor with Nelsons and a solicitor at Cartwright King. David is also a member of CLT's PSR and CLAS Assessment Board, as an assessor.
