To reflect the range of pay and remuneration matters that most employment lawyers are expected to deal with, this course looks at key issues across the spectrum. It deals with national minimum wage and working time matters, as well as executive level bonuses and share based reward schemes. It will cover:
- National Minimum Wage issues: what can and cannot be counted towards National Minimum Wage, the treatment of tips and troncs, as well as allowances for accommodation and benefits in kind
- Working Time Regulation issues: including calculating holiday pay and termination payments, and the latest position on rolled up holiday payments
- Bonuses: an update on the latest cases on discretionary aspects of bonus schemes, key terms in relation to bonus provisions, and key difficult issues including maternity leave and bonus entitlements
- Share based and long term incentive programmes: key issues including the use of restrictive covenants in connection with incentive schemes
