ASBOs have become a regular part of the work of criminal courts over recent years but they are not alone. Football Banning Orders, Closure Orders and now Serious Crime Reduction Orders are an increasingly important part of the work of a criminal practitioner.

Technically civil in nature, these orders in fact occupy a strange half way house between civil and criminal procedure. This course looks at the procedures which are common to the various orders including Interim Orders and Orders on Conviction, the use of hearsay evidence and the wording of clauses.

  • General principles of orders
