In an area where delay can be prejudicial to the best interests of the child, and our client's case, it is vital that we are able to take swift and decisive action. Whether our client is privately or publicly funded we need to be efficient in doing so. This course will tackle the law and practicalities in those areas most likely to raise concerns for the practitioner on a regular basis. The course will, among other things cover:
- Delegating parental responsibility
- Curtailing the exercise of parental responsibility
- Special guardianship
- Leave to apply for s.8 orders
- Domestic violence and contact
- Enforcement in the Family Proceedings Court
- Enforcing residence orders
- Enforcing contact orders
- Moves within or out of the jurisdiction
- Confidentiality of documents (r10.23A and secure editing)
- Costs issues including public funding
