Radical changes to the law on directors and their duties are made by the Companies Act 2006. These will be fully implemented by 1st October 2009 though some changes have already taken place. There is a codification of directors’ duties and an increased risk of members suing directors. The new Act builds on a number of changes already effected by the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004. This course will equip corporate and commercial lawyers with a thorough understanding of the new regime and considers in depth the impact of the changes.
