- Intermediate *3 hours CPD
The course is aimed at solicitors either who litigate on behalf of tenants and/or landlords. With the rise in litigation over anti-social behaviour orders, Section 11 cases and a general move by Public Authorities and Housing Associations to force tenants to comply more strictly with the terms of their tenancy, this is an area of law which has an increasing importance and work load.
The course will cover:
- Possession for non-payment of rent
- Possession for breach of covenants relating to a tenant's behaviour
- Anti-social behaviour orders
- Defences available to the tenant
- Enforcement
- Other remedies
- Counterclaims for disrepair
