This is a practical, basic course designed to appeal to legal secretaries wishing to consolidate their experience or non-legal secretaries wishing to pursue a career in a legal office. Delegates will be shown how to complete the most commonly used forms and be given an understanding of why these are necessary. During the day, delegates will be divided into small groups to discuss and complete assignments.
The course will give an overview of the conduct in a straightforward, undefended divorce case from initial instruction through to the decree absolute, including:
- The ground for divorce and facts establishing breakdown of marriage
- Ancillary relief
- Forms and procedures
- Relevant terminology
At the end of the day, delegate will receive a certificate to show that they have completed the course.
