Phillip Johnson 
is a barrister specialising in intellectual property. He was previously a legal adviser to the UK Intellectual Property Office, where he worked on all of the recent changes to UK law as well as on a number of ECJ cases. He is the author of several articles and books on intellectual property, including being an editor and author of the Modern Law of Patents (2nd ed, Lexisnexis 2010).
