This webinar recognizes that the EU public procurement regime is changing all the time and offers a snap shot of the recent changes that have taken place in the previous 4 months. The webinar will highlight key cases from the European Court of Justice and explain their significance as well as charting new guidance from EU and UK sources. Depending on the time available, there will also be discussion on the new Draft Procurement Directives released for consultation in late 2011.

  • The Key decisions made recently by the ECJ and their importance
  • Any key UK cases impacting on public procurement
  • Any significant guidance from the EU Commission
  • Any significant guidance from OGC
  • How the above may impact on procurement practice

John Bennett is a consultant for Eversheds LLP in their company/commercial department. He is a specialist in delivering innovative and complex arrangements where public sector policy issues interact with commercial requirements. He has worked with the Cabinet Office/Office for Civil Society in dealing with the legal issues in developing the Commissioning/Big Society agenda. He is joint editor of Public Procurement - : Law and Practice and former editor or a range of other practitioner works such as The Encyclopaedia of Local Government Law.
