What is the Police Station Accreditation Scheme (PSR)? The Police Station Accreditation Scheme (PSR) has been developed by the Law Society and LSC. It is designed to raise the general standard of client assistance and advices carried out by representatives in tae police station, and fundamentally change their approach to defence work.
Who should take the Police Station Representatives Accreditation Scheme (PSR)? All categories of non-solicitor representatives and trainee solicitors working in the field of criminal law, and who give advice at the police station for which payment is claimed from the Legal Services Commission (LSC), are subject to the Solicitors Regulation Authority Police Station Representative Accreditation Scheme (PSR).
Solicitors who wish to become duty solicitors can also take the Police Station Representatives Accreditation Scheme (PSR) instead of completing the PSQ element of Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) scheme.
