This course is aimed at practitioners who have previously attended safeguarding children training and who wish to update and refresh their knowledge.
By the end of the course those attending will:
- have had an opportunity to update their safeguarding children knowledge generally
- have considered their and other professionals’ roles in safeguarding
- be reminded of how to assess risk and how thresholds for action should be applied
- be aware of how to resolve professional disagreements
- have been informed of recent research, policy and legislation concerning safeguarding children issues
- have had an opportunity to consider the Munro report and its implications for the future of the safeguarding children system
- have had an opportunity to reflect on their personal development and identify any future learning requirements.
