SRA Handbook Compliance Plans - A One Day Fix
horizontal rule

  • * Advanced/Update
Are you prepared for the introduction of 10 new Principles of Practice, 100 or so Outcomes and over 100 Indicative Behaviours which were introduced on 6 October 2011?

The mandatory Outcomes "describe what firms and individuals are expected to achieve in order to comply with the relevant Principles" and are supplemented by non mandatory Indicative Behaviours.

You will be required to demonstrate evidence of compliance with the Outcomes and produce evidence of this. This represents a new way of thinking for many lawyers - the evidence can be what you do rather than a paper trail. This practical course will consider the Outcomes in detail and will help you to put together your own compliance plan.

The course will require input from delegates as we will consider the Outcomes and what may be suitable evidence of compliance. One of our speakers, Ray Biglin is an Ofsted Inspector with a wealth of experience in the delivery of evidence based compliance. The other, Lorraine Richardson, is a property lawyer who has a particular interest in assisting firms with practical solutions to compliance issues.

The course will cover:

  • * The SRA's approach to risk and regulation
  • What is the compliance plan?
  • The Outcomes
  • The Indicative Behaviours
