NEW Registration Requirements
From the 1st May 2007 when a candidate has identified which level is most appropriate for them and which assessments they must sit, they should register as a probationary caseworker with the SRA and obtain an SRA ID number. The candidate should then register with CLT and apply for the assessment(s) applicable to the Level chosen. Upon successful completion of the relevant assessment, candidates can apply to the SRA (solicitors and their employees) or OISC (for other caseworkers) for accreditation. Candidates will be awarded an accreditation certificate from the SRA or OISC. On successful accreditation, advisers who are employed by an LSC Contracted Provider may apply for a Contribution payment to be made to the employer Provider organisation only. It should be noted that in order to receive payment from the LSC, candidates who are starting the accreditation process must be registered as a probationary caseworker with the SRA and then must pass the probationary assessment within three months of registration.
